I agree worst thing that can happen is putting tracks in fresh snow on thin ice or ice your not sure of. next guy comes a long thinks all is well and goes for a swim

We rode rode Moosehead lake to Kineo then the Birches in the morning and from Greenville to Beaver cove about an hour ago. There is a medium sized pressure ride between Greenville and Beaver Cove. roughly around Burnt Jacket Point.

Jo Mary is reporting a large pressure ridge on Pemadumcook Lake.

There is currently very little to no snow on most of Moosehead Lake but its predicted to snow several inches tonight.

Wow, I never thought I would be worrying about a mid Feb trip at this point. We are staying at a house on Madawaska Lake the first week of Feb. I am not worried about that trip, as their conditions are now just about perfect. But the 2nd week of Feb we are planning a saddlebag trip from Houlton down to Rangely and back. I really hope they get a bunch of snow in the next couple weeks.

Ultra i hope it will be fine for you. Between these two snow storms that area should pick up a foot of snow.

Stakes are going in this AM in Rockwood. Probably hold off riding lake too far away from them North or South for few more days as this area appears was last to freeze only couple weeks ago!

Between rock wood and kineo gets staked and also the birtches. It’s a very small part of the lake that gets staked. Rt. 66

Snowed lightly all day. Snowing hard currently. Snowblind riding back to camp tonight. Twin Pines and Jo Mary trails good again today. Lobster bisque and fish and chips at NEOC excellent lunch.
