Well, it didn’t look good this morning. It was 39 when I got up and it just stopped raining. Looking up the trail I could see a number of bare spots and of course the parking lot at the motel was half grass half ice. I decided to head home. It’s 48 as I’m driving through Holton after the refreeze tonight, they are going to need another decent snow to cover up the bare spots. From where I live the UP of Michigan is the same distance as northern Maine, so that’s probably where we will be going for Christmas to New Year’s trip this year.. we have two weeks booked in Stockholm the beginning of February, and may make it back in January

Thats a bummer Bill. Did you get a chance to run the new sled before the weather came in?

Was at my cabin in Shin Pond this past weekend. Saturday brought heavy rain and really beat down the good intial base that was there. When I left Sunday afternoon the temps were going down and the heavy slush was becoming ice. My cabin is near the trail off 81 to the Pub.

Love Shin Pond Pub. My brother and I rode around in circles for about 2 hours trying to find it last year because there is no sign on the trail that leads to the pub. Good burgers and a fun atmosphere. I was riding today last year. Pray for snow and lots of it so we can get riding!!!

Probably saying "northwest part of the county" would be better, but we know what he means.
