A lot more trails have opened up in D1. Props to all the hard workers of The Riverside Club!

Just checked out the trails in mountain and would advise waiting till after the weekend. That 20 centimeters when groomed sure disappears quick.

BEAST has done some grooming where not on city land. The beast website and OFSC map are both behind a bit.. I have asked for an update as there could be signage/hazards delaying things??? Agree though Jeff... need more snow to fill in all the low spots.

No update from city insurance... OFSC risk folks working with the insurance vendor... in their hands this week.

thanks large
I saw the lads out yesterday staking the Mississippi
Toecutter and action on the Clay Town
Lake?

Heads up on the Mississippi if you come from innisville store to the lake(the old 307 trail to the river) and run from the bridge to the big lake on the river

Theres an ice heave at the mouth of the river where it opens up to the lake you can get around on the left side no problem
i watched a guy on the weekend smoke it as i stood there waving my hands over my head trying to stop him .he got lucky.

Parking in Arnprior

Anyone know an appropriate place to leave the truck for the day close to the trail.
Truck stop trail is closed for the year.
P.j.'s trail is still showing closed to the rail bed

I think if you come ahead up to Braeside would be best. You can park in a big plowed lot at the river at Red Pine Beach. If you keep watching on the river for the tree line it's where it starts.

So just go through the Prior and get on the River Rd heading to Sand Point - Braeside you will see it on your right just past the road to the Arnprior Golf Club. You will have to turn right down onto the old road to where Gillies Lumber Mill was and you will actually cross the groomed railbed You take to Renfrew. It's right there and I see lots of people parked there. It's als where they get on the river to ice fish.

I think this is better because it doesn't look like much is open or groomed in town. Interactive map does show green from where I'm suggesting you park and I know it's groomed in Renfrew ahead up I was there today.
