Default 2014 Gary W. Ross Memorial Snowmobile Races

The Crowdis Mountain Snowmobile Club is hosting the Gary W. Ross Memorial Drag Races on February 22nd, 2014 with a storm day on the 23rd, in Middle River in the field across from Midway Motors 2496 Cabot Trail Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Registration is from 8 till 10:30 and racing starts 12 noon. There will be canteen, and washroom services on site. Admission is $5. If you wish to race Registration is $20 and $10 for every class you enter. Maximum 3 classes per sled! Registration cut off is 11:oo sharp.

Classes: No studs!!!! Must be 19 years of age. Sleds will be inspected.

(1) Three class's of 120's (Ages 5-12)

(2) Four stroke: up to 155 HP or 800cc

(3) Four stroke: up to 155 + HP or 1000cc

(4) 440cc Stock

(5) 440cc Trail Improved

(6) 500cc Stock

(7) 500cc Trail Improved

(8) 600cc Stock

(9) 600cc Trail Improved

(10) 600cc Pro Stock

(11) 700cc Stock

(12) 700cc Trail Improved

(13) 700cc Multi Improved

(14) 700cc Pro Stock

(15) 800cc Stock

(16) 800cc Trail Improved

(17) 800cc Multi Improved

(18) 800cc Pro Stock

(19) 1000cc Stock

(20) 1000cc Trail Improved

(21) 1000cc multi improved

(22) 1000cc Pro Stock

(23) four stroke power adder

(24) Power Adder Class ( Turbo, supercharger, nitro etc. Open to 2 and 4 stroke )

(25) King Of The Field


Rules: 660 Foot Snow Drags

* No studs.

* We will be checking Bore.

* Any size track.

* Machines in stock class will be required to remove heat shield if requested.

* Any call made by an officialis final, any disagreement will result in disqualification.

* Any racer that has alcohol, or is with someone caught with alcohol will be disqualified and give up all money paid to race.

* Racers must be 19 years old to race. (Insurance)

* All racers will have to sign a waiver for insurance.

* Must be a minimum of three sleds to have a class.

* Any sled that has a boost controller will be moved to improved class.

* All sleds that enter in stock class will have bore scope put in spark plug hole.

* Racers will pay for the classes they want to enter first and then go through tech inspection.

* Any sled caught cheating will lose there money or have choice to enter different class. No refunds.

* Trail classes are not allowed race fuel. If smelled you will not be allowed to race.

* No sleds will be allowed on practice strip until the sled has passed Tech.


NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ALLOWED ON SITE IT WILL BE RCMP PATROLLED!!!

*OEM Bore and Stroke (If original engine is 597cc then it must maintain 597cc)
*OEM Crankshaft
*OEM Chassis
*OEM Suspension
*No Port and Polish
*Exhaust
*Carburetors ( Excluding Jetting)

*Headlight/Taillight
*Snow Flap
*No Quick disconnect cool down.


TRAIL IMPROVED
ACCEPTIBLE ITEMS TO CHANGE

*All Trail Stock modifications
*Reeds
*Cut Heads or aftermarket billet heads
*Port & Polish
*Bore (Must be within class cc limit)
*Aftermarket Exhaust single pipe
*Air box or air filters
*Advance Timing
*Track drivers. (No billet aftermarket)
*Oversize rear idler wheel kits.
*Base gaskets and head gaskets
*OEM carburetors can be bored
*Carburetor boots
*Adjustable Fuel controller (Cannot be accessible to driver while racing)
*CDI Boxes Must be OEM

*Carburetor boots
*Adjustable Fuel controller (Cannot be accesible to driver while racing)

*Bore & Stroke (Allowed 2% over displacement ie 1020cc allowed in 1000cc class)
*No headlight or taillight required

*No Aftermarket lay down chassis
*Snow Flap
*No Nitrous Oxide plumbing even if bottle is removed
* Must have Tether
