Default More miles on the EVO

It rained a ton and there were lots of flooded roads. With a light rider his thing makes for a good water skipper believe it or not.

Mods:
1.35 cobra track
regular throttle lever
limiter disconnected

Still needs:
96 studs
better clutching
going to try pro-steer skis on it

I feel very fortunate to have two kids (ages 12 and 10) as interested in snowmobiling as I am.

Nothing better then riding with the Kids. My Son started on his Mini 120 when he was 3.5 years old. He now has an INDY 550 that I extended to a 144". Here's a vid from a few weeks ago. He can drive er pretty damn good now! He turns 13 next Month and I will be getting him a SBA 600 for next Winter.

We started with a kitty cat, then 120s, and now they're both on full size machines and I love it.

We still have the 22hp supermod 120 that comes out for select races, but it runs on methanol and all the headaches that come with that so it doesn't leave the garage often.

The evo and the 340 are perfect and both have electric start.

When did you start your boys out on the 340? My son is 7 coming up on 8 on a 120. Been looking for a 340 for him to bump up to next

My daughter started on the 340 when she was 10, then upgraded to the evo at 12. My son is 10 now and got the 340.

The 1999-2001 indy 340s are the "gen 2" style but they're smaller and fit kids 10-12 pretty well.

I'd recommend getting him a new 200. By the time the 200s came out i already saw the "light at the end of the tunnel" of being done with mini sleds so i never bought one. If I was in your position now i would buy one for sure. Yea they're kind of expensive but used ones sell in an instant for almost what they cost new so if you keep it nice its not like you'll lose a ton of money in 2-3 years of ownership.

Both kids raced 120s for years.

How does the 340 and the Evo compare? My son is ready to move up from his 120(big power animal engine box started PITA lol) Is the 340 much of a stepping stone to the EVO?

If you feel he’s mastered the modded 120, go to the EVO.
My Son went from the Mod 120 to the 340 and didn’t want nothing to do with it.
So I bought the INDY 550.
I decided to give him my SBA 800 this Winter and I’ll be getting my snow check SBA 850.

All depends on the kids size and abilities and your $$$. My 02.

Absolute must as we all know is the feet must be able to be planted on the running boards too.
