Default What Clutch Weights for 8100 RPM

My sled is running 8300-8350 rpm, XC 850, Patriot recommended the 10-74 weights and I stopped by the dealer and bought them for $100. My question is do i need a helix spring change also and those of you who have a similar 8300+ revving XC what are you using?

With your sled overrevving you couldn't talk the dealership into giving you free weights, especially with this new motor.

Seems all sleds need some adjustment. Didn’t even consider asking the dealer. My sled has been flawless just want to run past my 3 brothers who are all on doo 850s

You shouldn't need any other changes.

was turning consistent 8250 with some 8300 flashes put in 10-74 now 8150-8200 its definitely stronger and worth doing. cobra track studded 550 miles still not happy with top end hits a wall at 102 105 max on good lake conditions

I am getting 105 on speedo with factory weights and as already discussed at 8300 - 8350 rpm. Sounds like i am leaving 5 + horsepower on the table. Will report back after i install and test the 10-74 weights.

My buddy is using Dalton QAP5s at 75g pulling 8100-8200. He has the 1.5" track. These 850s start slowing down at 93-94mph area. He's going to try taller gearing to gain some top end. Bottom and mid is very good but lacking top end.

It seems like its the Storm tracks that are lacking the top end.
