So a group of drunk people driving around blow a tire come barreling down a private drive to a residence with no tire on the rim. Occupants go into a truck that isn't thiers ,then start a 4 wheeler which isn't thiers( but weren't gonna take it .i guess they just wanted to ck the battery for the owner ?) the. Get confronted by owners start moving in SUV where they get window broken and then crash into another vehicle that isn't thiers and potentially missed owners wife on lower And ultimately one of these occupants are shot while at the very least holding a rifle that is loaded. Hmmmm. I guess I'm not a fan of the defense that the property owners gun just went off. But I don't see an issue. Just say it a bunch of drunks showed up tried to steal my shit and fuck up my property I didn't have a phone in my hand and the cops are to far away so I got a weapon for defence of myself and property. All hell broke loose and I ended up confronting a guy that had a rifle in his hands and I shot his ass cause I thought he was gonna shoot me or my family on my own property while defending possessions in my care. Yup I'm good with that. The nationality is not even relelevant at all. I know why he was found not guilty and it wasn't cause of race.

But this is Canada. Where we don't have the right to bare arms. Where we don't have the right to defend our property (according to our government).
It's unfortunate that someone had to die.

Hopefully this set a precedent, that a property owner has the right to defend whats his/hers. I read somewhere that the judge instructed the jurors the defended was within is rights to defend him property.

I used to chuckle at " preppers " and people that carried guns.

Times have changed. Never leave the house without my 9mm on my hip now.

What a world it has become in a very short time.

im first nation. this had zero to do with race.

if you dont want to get shot, dont tresspass, attempt to steal and brandish a weapon.

wtf does that have to do with being native??

and sure enough, indigenous lives matter ' sign , right on que.fucking liberals, stop it.

You guys have to look at bright side. Maybe there is some hope for this country, I am surprised at this verdict.
