I have run that pattern on my MCX 290 Apex for 5 years with no issues.
Also ran it on my Supercharged RX 1 for years. No issues.
I've had real good luck using Megabites. Like **SJ** said under studding is more likely to cause damage so that's why I'm leaning towards 168 pattern. I don't want to have to bully the sled around corners so hoping 168 keeps me a little free in the turns.

You are likely correct. Less rows, further apart, makes sense.
Doo single ply 2.86 pretty much no good for studding a decent pattern.
Hoping the 2 ply on the Winder will be more durable.
I'm pretty easy on studs & I use the machined aluminum washers not the stamped so no sharp edges.

TIP:

if whoever decides to still spread them out or run less...or turning up the power....I use an over sized backer with the 2 ply stud!

btw I see you ordered daves exhaust....I assume you like loud? and wont be turning it up too much in the future?
rockerdan likes this.
