That looks to be a decent deal. I had a 2017 Assault and it was a great sled. The 17 runs a little warmer on hard pack than the 18 but a set of scratchers on the hard days cure that. The Rear suspension if you're picky is stiff in my opinion. Plenty of threads on here mentioning that. For a few bucks LennStang has a suspension set up for reasonably cheap money in my opinion that cures that "IF" you found the rear suspension stiff. Many people think it's great.

If you buy this sled though I believe this brings you over from the Cat side? I guess that outstanding review of the RIOT in the GDF wasn't quite strong enough for you to SnowCheck one of those? "JOKING"

Your GDF buddies will be disappointed with you. (( It's a Great Sled )) Low mileage and the sticker package looks good as well. Good Luck!!

Not bad, a friend of mine sold his 17 this winter at the peak of the season for $7800. About 1000 more miles on it. Only extra he had on it was custom valved shocks. For this time of year, I would be offering $7800, and pay $8000, tops.

I have seen that sled for sale for a while. Now I have sat on sleds thru the summer to sell them for more in the fall, but Hes already a little high. I havnt looked lately but mid winter snowmobiletrader had some dealers selling leftover 2018's for $8,800. with e-start, but no pidd. I would be making some phone calls on new leftovers. We brought a 600 SBA (non sp) from Babbitts for $8,299. in april for my wife.

I'd look at it this way....

If the options are attractive to you then go try to make a deal on this one. Maybe get it for $8000.

** If you like the color
** Don't like studs
** Like the Pidd gauge
** Didn't want E.S.
** Like mirrors

I'd go try to shake a deal out. Otherwise if you'd rather have a 1.6 track and want E.S maybe continuing to look elsewhere will turn up a sled closer to what you desire. It isn't a deal that screams "Buy me I'm cheap" But if the options and color is attractive I'd go check it out?

Thank you for all the input fellas....I actually love that orange color and I had 14 SBA and really liked it. I don't really have a "side" or team....in fact as Big Tom knows I had his old TNT this fall and sold it without even riding it and I currently have a 2014 IQR....last year was a SP500 and before that a M8 HCR....I don't discriminate!

I snowchecked the same sled but put a black nose on it...made the orange a bit more of a highlight vs a focal point. I can try to post a pic from my computer tomorrow if interested, but the app isn’t working 100% on my phone.
