For 65/35 I would be going with the 1.6" Lug. If you did 50/50 I would say 2"

I have no experience with the 1.6 but pretty happy with the 2 inch all round. If you like to drag race on the lake that 1.6 is gonna kick butt. Sled may run a little cooler on trail also. Too bad they don't offer the 1-3/4 back country that would be the ultimate for me as I don't like the way the lugs fold over on the 2 inch. Seems to rob power on hard pack.

Can't stud the 2" but you can on the 1.6.

i have the 1.6 and have it studed cause of the lake running i do. works all around good i take it boon docking when there lots of pow goes no sweat. now if i went hill riding id want the 2 inch but for the typical conditions i run lakes and trails and marginal snow/ice in the spring the 2 paddle would just burn the sliders off and probably spit paddles to. you wont be disapointed with the 1.6.

I've never gotten stuck with the 1.6. I like the fact that it is predrilled with the small holes in the lugs, so I can turn it into an Ice Cobra with a tire studding tool in about 30 minutes. Those give you the traction you need in icy corners or crossing parking lots. I hate trying to load an unstudded sled on a trailer. It's also much easier than drilling a track to put in traditional studs. Much less rotating weight also.

I have a 2019 SBA with the 1.6

No vibration on the trail and smooth riding, great traction in powder and deep snow.

Depends on your on/off ratio. Agree 50/50 may warrant a 2" but as much as I tried I cant get more than 70/30 maybe 80/20 so here is my experience:

* 17 assault with 1.6 Ice cobra - great on trail and decent off.
* 19 SKS 146 with 2.25 track - horrible on trail above 50mph (felt like it was going to explode at 80) but amazing off trail.
* Buddy's 2" 19 SBA same opinion as mine on SKS (he had grippers too).

We are both going to 2020 SBA 1.6 it looks like.....he will stud and I will likely add screw-ins.

Also wish a 1.75 that would take screws was an option!!!!
