I let an owner of a 2019 850 Assault ride my 2018 Assault with the Indy RTS and softer torsion springs this weekend...He's ordering the shock and springs this week. He was "shocked" by how much better mine rode than his.

I have the Velocity shock and softer springs. They were supposed to send with Hi/Lo but Walker Evans sent it out without HI/LO update. Decided to keep what they sent as I love the way my XC rides. Does the HI/LO make that much of a difference?

Not sure what you got?
Only my opinion but, yes. Keeps that cushy ride and lets you protect better against those really harsh stuff.

Same thing happened with the shock I ordered. Sent it back for them to install the HI/LO.

I was going to send it back also, but this is my backup sled/wife will use it a few times and wanted it done for next week. Plan to just send it and the one on my XC to them in the spring for Hi/Lo update.

Have any of you tried the Indy XC shock in your Assault yet? Also, are you guys installing the lighter torsion springs?

Going to install Indy XC shock (no Hi/Lo) and lighter torsion springs today. Heading up to Maine this weekend to ride and compare Assault and Indy XC.
