Good luck and enjoy the ride!
Anyone order this lately? Did that end up being the correct WE part number and is Chris still the point of contact? Thinking about trying to pull the trigger this week if the ride really improves that much..

with the RTS unvalved specifically, and full oem WE revalved, it will be much better than the RTS and much less expensive!! I tested out the extreme limit of the SBA in the rought, and although the are on the stiff side, they work very well in deep moguls, only bottom once and believe me thats was some crazy shit!! I think most the riders here would have MORE than enough with proper valving and torsion spring than full blown RTS WE 4K upgrade!

Re-valving the stock RTS will help but it's still no match for the WE Velocity shock.
Do to it's design, the Velocity shock provides progressive dampening in the last half of the stroke. You won't get this from the stock RTS. This is how you're able to run softer torsion springs yet still have the IGX skid handle bumps without bottoming. The result is a better ride than the Indy XC. The difference is amazing.

Default 2 Questions

1. Does anyone have any seat time riding two up with this setup? (the younger of my kids is ready to move off the tank and onto the back this year)

2. What's the best way to buy one that's set up right, through a dealer or direct?

No seat time on a 2up but can tell you no regular shock is going to perform like a velocity shock. no matter what or who re valves them. but we are a Walker Evans dealer. Problem right now is they are a month out. I have a bunch on order right now. A bunch sold to HCS members. Not sure if any Polaris dealers have any accessory ones on the self? But if not there going to be in the same boat. a month or so out.

Yeah same here... I tried to call the shop a couple times and e-mailed but couldn't get thru. Know you guys are busy right now and not a big operation, get that, but need a way to buy other than FB Marketplace since I am not on FB.

Thanks ...

I emailed WE and got a price of 425 USD for the velocity RTS.

Possible curve ball.. I'm a bigger guy and was thinking I might need to upgrade to the big springs like I did on my 2012. Going to ride as is first though.

Would the velocity shock with stock springs possibly suit my needs instead of changing out the springs for the big boy ones?
