Who won all the stock and mod races please give brands and if possible riders.

Any four strokes racing?

How was the attendance?

Interest must be decreasing as no mention on this site ahead of time nor much advertising or talk amongst sledders, that is too bad it is a great event, great race and great facilities.

Race results are up but no modern sleds only old sleds. Lots of classes for old polaris 500 Indys I get it a cheap stock class but hey we like to see the new stock sleds race.

see https://www.cptcracing.com/info/event-results/

Why no more stock classes for 500 fan and liquid, 600, 700, 800 etc. and have four strokes race as well?

The stock classes are the most fun to see actual sleds that people ride race. Doesn't CPTC hold any more stock classes?

That was fun cheering your brand and having fun with spectators.

Was it a big crowd of several thousand or just 100-200?

Thanks XC Special you the Man.

Because it would read like this...

Stock 500 1st Arctic Cat

Stock 600 1st Arctic Cat

Stock 700 1st Arctic Cat

Stock 800 1st Arctic Cat

Wouldn't be much cheering if you rode anything else. Not trying to brand biased, that's just the way it would be because of the engines.

Hope they bring back stock class racing for all cc sizes next year for the 50th anniversary because lots of people will attend if they do I know I plan on going.

Many buddies used to go (sledders and non sledders) but haven't for 10-15+ years.

It used to be the event for the whole family little children, teenagers, parents and grand parents went. Was neat with those 20,000+ crowds and watching it on ABC Wide World of Sports.

Lets hope it is bigger and better than ever it seemed like everyone form the local area of 50 miles attended.

The reasom there are no stock sleds in ice ovals is that the new modern sleds are too expensive and are just not compatible with ice ovals. You need to dump a couple of grand just too get them on the ice. Not worth it IMO. Plus they are way too fast .The F-500 class based off of 89-92 indy 500's is the cheapest way to get out there. I had a blast all weekend racing mine. Hope to see a big crowd for the 50th.

Well Cobra...buy your new sled that you are spending so much time doing research on. After you buy it get it ready to oval race at Beausejour. When you do yours I will do mine and we can race each other. You don't want to do that to your 12K+ sled? Fine, neither do the other 98% of the readers on here.
Roostking makes a lot of sense and Pro Champ is all you are going to get for the time being. Ovals have evolved from Stock Classes, Sno Pro, Formula III, Twin Trackers, Pro Champ, that 56HP snoozer class and finally the one that is gaining popularity and is relatively cheap...vintage racing. The Indy 500 class works too, but I do agree that maybe that should be opened up to all manufacturers 500s. Who knows what the next big thing will be, one thing is for sure Snocross is dying a slow painful death mainly because one brand is winning all those races....I'm glad to see cross country is making a comeback...

Ya Stewie was feeling no pain when I saw him. LoL

Exactly. You dump 12+k on a new 600, Set it up for ovals add 2K now you have a 15K sled that you can only drive on the track. Plus at 130hp they will be too fast so now they will need to be restricted some how. The rider forward tall seat setup of all new sleds is not compatible with oval racing.

The beauty of the F-500 class is you can run any hood, and there were a bunch of different setups at BJ. Does the average joe really care what engine or chassis is under the hood ? If it has a cat hood on it well damn it's a cat same with any brand hood. Opening up the class to any mfg will destroy the class plus what other mfg made anything in the same class as the 89-92 indy 500 ? All the other mfg stuff at the time was junk in comparison.

John Hooper a cat guy through and through came up with the F-500 class. He reasoned that there are a ton of indys out there and they are cheap with cheap parts. For $5000 max you can be out there racing and be competitive right away. How much easier does it need to be ? A lot of vintage iron is 2X the cost and you might not even be competitive. For young guys with not alot of cash and a desire to go out and race, the F-500's are the way into the game. There are a bunch of F-500's in the works from local people and the class is definately growing. It might be the fastest growing class in oval racing. It will become the biggest clas in BJ in the next few years. The Champ sleds will still be the #1 class but f-500 IMO will get more entries.
