First weekend running my 800R Gade, noticed a bit of antifreeze leaking when I put it on the trailer. Has anyone seen this, if so what is the issue?

If overheating is suspected, you must determine if the engine is truly overheating. Does the overheat light come on? Is the engine extremely hot? Is the coolant circulating? If you determine that the engine is really not getting hot, simply tell your customers to let the reservoir run a little low, and keep an eye on it."[/b]

Ekkkss so run it low on coolant but yet keep a eye on it?... damn does that ever sound reassuring.

Thinking about a XP thats why i in the doo forum.

Just watch it The program from Ski Doo is that it's a self leveling system it will purge some antifreeze until it finds it's level then you should not see anymore.Noticed mine untill about 750 miles then has been fine. I watch my bottle just to make sure the level
was ok.

We had to fix one on the trail this weekend. This one was bigger than a pinhole. If your sitting on the sled it's on the right side of the airbox. Rubbed/Vibrated against the airbox. Another one in the group was showing signs, but wasn't through yet. Had to pull the gas tank back in order to fix it.[/b]
A buddy of mine bought an XP 800r this year and didn’t get much of a chance to ride here at home due to poor snow conditions but before we when on our annual trip to Ontario two weeks ago I printed this thread for him (he doesn’t have a computer) and we checked his hose for signs of rubbing. There were definitely signs of wear before 100 miles so we tore it down to add a shield to the hose. We pulled the seat to slide the gas tank back a little (I would hate to attempt this on the trail) but at the end of the day, you can access the hose fairly easily just by pulling the secondary clutch, loosening the clamps on the top of the airbox and pressing the little black release and sliding the airbox completely out of the sled. I really don’t think sliding the tank back is necessary.

Other than this little issue, the sled is very impressive. I rode it for about 25 miles last week and really liked it. One thing that he complained about is the stiff ride in the small bumps. Has anyone been able to soften it up a little?
