Has anybody tried putting an aftermarket head on there 05 fusion? If so what kind?I can't sell mine so I have to try and find a way to make this sled perform like a true 900.

I thought about it but alot of the mod heads are from high alt. areas and sometimes don't work that great at sea level. That's what I heard, now I dont know if it's true I would like to know first hand but it's a pricey gamble

well im going to try a rtk head on mine it cant be the worst money i ever pissed away if it dont work. if not it will get redone. i have been told that the dome design is pretty piss poor. and usally a little more compression makes more hp. the stock head are way safe on most sleds. also do a search there is a previous thread i did on this last week

the design of the dome is usally the same they can run a lot more comp than us up in high alt. they can run like 14.1 on pump gas. and when some of these builder build heads for the low alt guys they get a little too consevative because they are unsure on how much comp to run down here.

I think I might try the slp head and see how it compares to polaris 9500's head.If the slp is no good I will get a rtk head.

I changed my mind.I am going to go with a rkt head.Slp heads are like a 1 size fits all head and they are not custom designed like rkt's for the way I ride and the elevations.

He asked me the same thing. We run 91 octane and run below 2000' also I said that I lake race alot and trail ride very hard.I also ordered a dynoport pipe/y pipe/can combo, big wheel kit,slp highflow airbox, slp torque arm and push arm,v force 3 reeds, epi clutch kit.I think this will wake my sled up. :div20:

Should be real interesting to see how the Fuse responds to these mods and the updates. Cfi, you're determined to get that sucker humpin', eh!?!?! Hope you have some luck.

I forgot to ask him if the pipe will work but I will phone tomorrow and ask.I knew I was forgetting to ask about something.I never got a total cost on all the parts yet I am thinking around$3000CDN which is no big deal..I didn't want to send my motor away for porting just yet and I do not want slp porting and head. There are guys up here with there kits and they are not that impressive.I think the 167hp is a little skeptical IMHO.If anything I would send my motor to carl's cycle and get the 975 kit instead of the slp kit. Also this is a brand new motor and I still have a 1 year warranty on the motor so I don't want to start any porting until after warranty is over.

Yes I am determined to get it going because I can't afford to sell it and spend $8000CDN to upgrade to a yammie 4 stroke or 1000 renegade. So I thought I would give this a try and my buddy has a 05 machz so I will let you guys know how it does against his machz.

If I every get mine back from my dealer I have some plans for it also. I've got a Mach Z to slay too! Can't afford to get ride of it, & I do like the chassis, don't the performance.

What are you going to do with your sled to slay the big mach?I also really like the chassis but the performance was not as it should be.With all these mods I hope it will wake up.

I don't know if the fusion with mods will beat the mach z but I know that my fusion can beat my buddy's mach z to 100mph then he pulls away. His mach z has about a 5-7 mph top end advantage on me.
