I was on a date last year when the girl ran her sled across slushy ice, The sled sank 1/2 way, she was fine. I could just see the headlines though. Good to know!

ya watching that sure makes me think how bad it can get, i prefer to run the river, more turns that you have to get around so you really learn fast how to control your sled in the turns and how much throttle, you also have lots of places to get off the water and start again, but saying that i really dont like running the mouth of the lake where the river flows in, to far to swim and you need a boat to make it, good luck finding a boat in march under snow. play safe
