since the 800 efi has a air temp. sensor in the air box, why couldnt you block off the warm air coming from the right side of belly pan and maybe get a cooler air charge to the engine?? any imput on this idea?

I'm considering doing the same on my ZR800 carb.
Blocking both openings (behind the secondary and brake disk) with allow only cooler outside air to be drawn in from the shin vents and keep all that nasty belt and brake dust out of the airbox.

The Sept. SnowTech has a good article about pre-filters make from K&N material. I may have to pick-up some to keep that demon belt and disk dust from being injested.
Apparently it's the same material used by AC in the nose of the F-cats to keep the snow out of it's airbox.
