A friend has a 1998 AC Panther and wants to stud the track. How many studs and what lengh should he use. Thanks.
ryan001
well depending on what size engine he has will determine the amount of studs to put in.

But if he has the stock track which is .725 then I would go with 1in studs.

but you need more info to answer this question.
mrand
I beleive it's the stock track.
ryan001
ok, do you know the engine size?
Vince
I have owned several Panthers and a 72 stud pattern is sufficient no breaking of studs and plenty safety for stopping and cornering, he'll probably use about 82 studs because it's a 136" track. Do not use more than a 96 stud pattern anymore will just be a waste of horsepower.

it also depends what size engine? I think they made a 700 biggest and 96 would be jsut fine in that track
mrand
Engine size is 550.

I would go with 96

The largest engine AC ever put in a Panther was a 550. On the other hand, the Pantera had a 1000 triple. Talk about a 2 up touring sled that rips!

Exactly. He thinks they'll be too long. I don't think so, but nobody can give me an answer. He wants them, but only once he knows they'll fit.
