You will need for both:
1 package of pre-made frozen bread dough (3 loaves per bag.)
3 cups shredded mozarella cheese.
Parmesian cheese (enough to lightly sprinkle on each loaf before baking.)
Non-stick cooking spray.
For original stuffed bread, add this to your recipe:
2 pounds pork sausage
1 package of frozen chopped spinach
For RUEBEN Stuffed Bread:
2 pounds deli-sliced corn beef
1 large can sauerkraut
Thousand Island Dressing (optional.)
Original stuffed bread recipe instructions:
Let dough thaw and rise COMPLETELY. Brown sausage in frying pan. Drain off grease and pour sausage into mixing bowl. Mix in spinach and cheese with sausage. Spread out dough on GREASED baking pan. Spoon 1/3 of meat/cheese/spinach mixture onto center of dough (spread it out over the dough lengthwise.) Fold over ends to seal meat inside of dough. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes (until dough is golden brown on outside.) Slice in to slices like you would slice bread, and serve. Serve with warm pizza or spaghetti sauce (optional.)
For RUEBEN stuffed bread:
Let dough rise and spread it out on GREASED baking pan. Put 1/3 corned beef in the center of the dough and spread out lengthwise. Put sauerkraut and cheese over corned beef. Fold ends over to make a "loaf" of bread. Bake in oven at 325 for 25-30 minutes (until bread is golden brown.) Slice bread into bread slices and serve warm. May serve with thousand island dressing.
