this is very rich but awesome!
Lobster Stew
Melt 1/4 lb. butter in a 2 qt. kettle
Add 2 cups lobster meat, cut up
Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Heat thoroughly and pour over lobster: 1 quart milk and 1 pint light cream.
Heat to boiling point, remove from heat and serve at once.
Serves 6

Sounds like a good fall dinner :div20: What do pay for lobster out east? Here it's $21.95 lb. for 4-6oz tails and it's $26.95 lb. for 16-20oz tails.

Right now its $5.00+lb live. I buy em live and cook em and remove the meat and save the shells and bodies and boil them and save the broth and freeze it for a later time.
Just meat is 17.lb.
now that all the tourists left for the season the price will go lower.

wow! Lobster sounds cheap nowwa days. I think lobster meat was $17 lb twenty years ago. How come the price hasn't kept up with the times? Any land for sale near you with a 20 year ago price tag? Oh..... on a trail of coarse!

I do a lobster meal served with linguini. I have a vegy garden so whatever is growing in the garden goes in the pan. I cook the pasta and sautee squash yellow and green, peppers in olive oil with garlic and whatever else I have laying around . parsly maybe a pinch of oregino and basil. When the veggies are done I add meat from a few lobsters on and then toss the pasta on and cook for another couple of minutes. maybe add more olive oil... UM UM GOOD and I make sure there is plenty of leftovers because it does taste even better next time around!!!!!

Lobster stew, very good, guess I'm lucky, Lobster and scallops are free as are most other sea food. Throw a few mussels and bar clams in and you got a even taster stew.
