Full Version: REV's Mom's Spaghetti Sauce

-1 lb Spicy Italian Sausage
-1 lb Hamburger
-1 large can tomato sauce
-1 large container favorite name brand spaghetti sauce
-1 large yellow onion, chopped
-3 tablespoons Italian Seasoning
-Garlic powder to taste

Goes well with parmesian cheese, garlic bread, and salad.

Brown all meat, drain grease. Add sauces and seasonings. Let simmer for 15-30 minutes. Serve over favorite pasta.

Mushrooms,garlic buds(5-6)zuccinni(5 small)red pepper,yellow pepper,orange pepper,cubanelle peppers(2) onions(3). Put enough veg oil to cover the bottom and heat at med temp. Add sliced or quartered mushrooms and sprinkle with salt,pepper,oregano and saute. Add sliced garlic buds and stir occasionally. Add diced zuccinni and let cook for a few min stirring occasionally. Add the diced red,yellow,orange and cubanelle peppers one at a few minutes apart stirring occasionally. Add in the diced onions. Turn to simmer for about 10 min and add a can of crushed tomatoes 28fl. oz-796ml. stir in real good and simmer 10-15 min.Add two jars of your favourite pasta sauce,stir and simmer. Heat up a frying pan with a little bit of oil and add 2lbs lean ground beef, brown and drain grease. Add the beef to the sauce and let simmer. Boil some Linguine or Fettuccini noodles (spaghetti is okay) till cooked,drain and pour on some sauce and pig out. This is a stick to the pasta recipe you can brag about and your friends and familly will call you Maestro! :beerchug: dance_2.gif dance_2.gif smiley-faces7.gif

How many are you cooking for?! Good god. 2 pounds of meat. What's a can of sauce? A pint? A whole large onion? Big family huh. maybe i'll try cutting this by a third.
