:lol2: Just being truthfull. I really love my sled, the only thing that I don't really care for it the precision skis. On a groomed trail they are great but on fresh snow they can be scary. I'm buying some flex skis for it this year and try them out.

I have a 02 800 summit. I am sort of happy with it. I wouldn't say it is the best sled I have ever owned, I do not like the mountain Ski's on it, I have had the PTO seal pop once causing the need for a complete overhaul, had the usual Y-pipe crack (got it welded locally). Had a couple of small electrical problems that I still don't have worked out. All in all I would say that it is average to slightly below average, for what I wanted when I got it.

I guess some people get unlucky and get a lemon, mine was awsome...steered a bit heavy, but that could have been adjusted..lots of speed (111 on gps) and lots of suspension, cant go wrong, just dont buy the first lemon you find

Don't get me wrong, I don't think I got a lemon (over 7000 kms so far), just letting him know what I had happen to mine. I am always honest about the problems I have had when people ask. No sense sugar coating things. They are afterall machines and machines tend to break from time to time.

I dont own one but have had the chance to ride one a 2002 yellow/black and i must say its a sweeet machine ! I would go with the flex skis if you are an aggressive rider thats what my buudy had on. They seem to be fair on fuel and and he has about 5000kn trouble free km's except for a new track.
I had bombardiers in the past and have to say this one was the best that they ever made if you like to pound the machine and like tight corners this ones for you. If you want big bump performance and ride less in the twisties go for a rev.

Well i would say i am an agressive rider i like to go fast and i like the tight and twisty's,i like to hit jumps the odd time to, so what do you guy's think should i go for a 2002 mxzx 800 or a 2003 800x (rev)... i'll only have about $4000 canadian so what do you guy's think ?(this is for next year)oh yea and i like the look of both sled's but jsut don't like the bever tail on the rev...

For resale value your better off with the rev , but if your an old school type of guy go with the 2002 i think you will be very happy ! Also i heard the 2003 rev 800 was a little bit of a pig on gas. Ive tried a 2003 600 rev and some just love the rev platform i felt better on the zx chassis just my two cents !

Good luck buying a REV for $4000! There resale is very high right now. Thats why I bought a ZX.

'01-'02 mxzx's were fairly bulletproof. the upside is if you go with the zx chassis you'll save a lot of cash. harley-hamm was right when he said that rev resale value is high right now. on the other hand, you should be able to score one hell of a zx chassis for a great price because resale is down on pretty much anything but a rev.. happy hunting :div20:
