I'm looking to get a new 2100 Pulsar with a 225 Merc on it.
Don't know to much about these and was wondering if anyone else had some feedback.
It comes with a new trailer and they're asking $36,900 for it. How does this sound pricewise? Any info or comments welcome. :beerchug:

Thanks for the replies guys. :beerchug:
I didn't do much homework on these and didn't know if they were a quality product. How do you think they handle the chop (2'). They sure do look sharp and look fast just sitting there. Summers half over and I'm hoping the guy will come down a little.
Is there a site that does reviews or comparisons on boats like these?

Just bought a 00 ZT 240. So far this thing has been awesome. I would compare it to a BAJA in looks and performance, but their price is better. As far as chop is concerned, I don't know about the smaller boats but this 24' cuts chop GREAT!!! and you never have to get wet doing it either. I was like you. I'd had'nt even heard of Checkmates before i found mine. They are very nice boats.

Ajak, Checkmate boats are awesome. I owned a 1988 Starflight with a 200 Merc Black Max & loved it. I sold it because it was a closed bow & I needed more room. If you have not yet made a purchase, I'd also suggest you call Dave at Checkmates of Fargo, ND... the #1 selling dealer in the country.

some chech mates are good in chop and some not so much. the deeper the V the better it is in chop.
that checkmate in the pic is a sweet looking boat.
i love the low close to the water boats that go fast. owr j-craft w/200merc sits about 8" out of the water at the back when stoped

This was my old one, I loved it just was a little too small. Believe me they can take as much water as the captain can handle. I took my little 16' from Pentwater to Silver Lake in 4 foot rollers in Lake Michigan what a blast!!

I have a 1998 Checkmate 2100 Pulsair with a 225 Merc EFi on it(manual jackplate). Boat is built pretty well and is very quick. Top speed is somewhere in the low 70's, but weightload has a big impact. i.e. will only get 65 mph with full fuel and 4 people. The boat has 19 degree V so it does not handle the chop that wel. I boat in Long Island Sound and Lake George where the water can get rough. The boats is very light so you get bounced all over the place. All in all, I like this boat, but I am upgrading to a 24-26 I/O this summer.
