Since I can't ride this summer, I'm looking for do some spending grinning-smiley-023.gif First, I think i'm going to get studs, but I was wondering what the opinion on them was... I had them when I got my 01 800 last winter (early) but the track blew right away, so I never got to really see what it was like.

So i'd like to know what studs to get, how many/what pattern, and how much are they?

Other things i'm looking at doing this summer:
Tempa Flow
Clutch
Red under skid
Anyone else have ideas?

Also thinking of pulling off the arms and painting them red, anyone know what the best way to go about this is? And I've heard Polaris paint is unmatchable so i'd have to spend a lot on paint...?

I have been a Woody's Golddigger Traction Master user for lots of years

I just ordered my self 168 1.325 for my 1.25 shockwave track. using the Woody's
double diggers as the backers.

I did not blow my track in fact I still have my stock XCR 800 track that was re-stidded twice from 1" to 1.075 GD's Not one pull thru or broken stud. track has 5000 miles on it
so I ma keepin it for a spare.

I'd go woody's 1.325's

I'd go longer than the 1.325's. I ran them on my 1.25 ripsaw last year and the tips barely sit over the lugs. This year I am going with 1.450's...

Also go with the tempa-flow. They are well worth the money :div20:

i see u live in minnesota go to haydays. got my long studs for 1.19 apiece with backers. big nuts were only a lttle more. cant beat the stud prices at haydays. shorter sizes are only .99 piece with backer, go 1size longer than what they reccommend

So...1.325 or 1.450? Anyone else Have a say? Seems to me like 1.450 would be a bit long? Also, were is the best place to get the GD TM's?

What pattern for the studs? I hear 2 rows up the center is very common (96)?

P.S. Tempa flow is on the 'definitely buying' list grinning-smiley-023.gif

my 1.40" extreme max (1.750"oal) give me .25" penetration on my ripsaw. works good for me.

So anything between 1.325 and 1.450 should make me happy?

Also, my bro needs a new track and he's going to go with a ripsaw, but the one i'm looking at is fully clipped, what's that mean? I know that mine is clipped every 3rd window.
Also, my dad needs a new track, will the ripsaw work? What cutting would we have to do?
