If I was going to get a new camera I would look at the Canon A95. I think it might be closer to $300 though.

I have a Canon A40 now and I like it, just dated a little. I like cameras that take the CF card like Canons. I have a card reader that plugs into the front of my computer so I don't have to run the camera batteries.

As far as batteries, I have some AA Ni-MH that last a lot longer then the regular batteries. Look for some MAHA by power EX, I think it's called thomas distributing that sells them.

I bought my fiance an Olympus 3.2 megapixel. It has a titanium shell and is water proof. Lithium battery and the picture quality is really good. I'm very pleased with it....I think I payed around 250 for it at Best Buy.

I have the canon s30. It is a great camera, and I love the fact that it has a battery pack. Recharges fast, and lasts a long time. The camera is at least 3 years old, and the battery pack still is good.

Hey Jason :beerchug: its Freeze grinning-smiley-023.gif

I bought a Sony 5.1mp Cybershot for Xmas

It is a great camera I paid $450 canadian with a 128 memory card

long lasting rechargeable batteries :div20:

Can make movies too grinning-smiley-023.gif

Right now I know you can get a Sony 4.1mp Cybershot for $250 or below

I got the 5.1 because of the quality you can have in your pictures :div20:

Though most pics that I have put on the sites here I have only used the VEG mode or 1mp as it does not take up space on the sled sites thus the lower quality :cn: but when I get photos developped I shoot them in 3.2 or bigger mp size as the quality is much greater :div20:

anyway here is a link with feature of my digital camera
