how much is a suspension ugrade. I have a 98 670 with SC-10. It ssucks and its beat down. where can I get an sc-3 and will it bolt in the original holes?

The SC-3 is not a direct bolt in from the SC-10. Some say it is, some say it isn't. From what I've learned, the geometry on the SC-3 is slightly different than the SC-10 or SC-2....thus needing different mounting locations. So, what I would suggest is finding a used SC-2 and installing it. I did this with my '99 MXZ 600 and it made a world of difference. If it comes with HPG shocks, then I would get them rebuilt and revalved to your weight and riding style and you will love the ride.

it should fit, i put a sc10-3 on my 440, i think it was originally a sc10-2

I put an SCIII in my 98 FIII , bolted right in . You should be able to find one at a reasonible price. I also put on a used MBRP widening kit and put in piggyback X shocks in the front.

If you do go with it, i would recommend ditching the stock shocks and going for hpgs.

how much did you pay for the SC3 and PG shocks

I took them out of my wrecked 02 800 x , You can find non x skids for $150.00 , Piggys $250.00 each . An X skid would be about $500.00 . The shocks kick the price up. You can also pick up an M-10 (used also) for $500.00 .You will need the tunnel stiffener / bolt template for your sled. I had one on my 96 FIII, night and day compared to the C-7 that was in it.
Renegade Rider
I have a 2002 SC10-II from an MXZ Renegade for sale....136" skid..needs a rear shock....i put a new M-10 in. Post here if interested.
