Ok boys here is what I did
I pulled pull start housing off
Pulled head off
Marked 3 locations 1 on the engine case
1 on the cage that the pull starter grabs and 1 at the bottom of the cage all with a ruler
I also used other places on the engine case and pull start cage for alignment marks..
I made all marks with mag side at TDC
I rotated the engine til the PTO was at TDC and found the marks to line up perfectly.
I am pulling the mag side jug tomorrow to have the cylinder inspected and reworked for a new piston, and inspection to see if any melted aluminum
made it to the crank case. Most likley thats the case so the engine is coming out so I can split the cases to give it a good clean.
