I have a 02 polaris 600xcsp. I have redone the clutch with 10-62 weights, almond-blue spring and for the secondary r-12 helix with silver-blue spring in the third hole. I have also added 120 studs and added a clicker shock for the rear and a pivot adapter with 2inch riser for the handle bars. I plan on doing some cosmetic changes that will be later with money permitting motor modding is first. I plan on rejetting the sled how low can I go? Does 400-410 sound good? I ride in low elevations U.P of michigan. The sled is stock with 430 main jets. What other mods can I do for the up coming year? The next question the sled has 4000 miles how long before the stock reeds will need replacing? I did get Boyesen reeds dual stage will these be worth installing or just get stock reeds again? I have local friend that used to be a expolaris tech at a local polaris dealer ship for years he has done everything he does all my motor work. His advice for reeds are that stock is the only way to go after market will not last as long and poor reliablility. Bare with me he is a pure polaris die hard it has to be polaris even the parts. I plan on running this sled this way for the up coming winter then following year 660 kit from carlys or indyhead still doing research on each motor kit. Any info with help thanks.

You can run 410's pretty safe. Ran all 01 with 410's in mine in the U.P. Gear it 23-40.

Would go with the 410's. On real cold nights your taking a chance with 400's. As far as the reeds go personaly I've never had a problem with the stock ones. And aftermarket reeds aren't worth the $ if your stock reeds are good. If they need replacing then that a different story. Best bet would be to find someone who took out new reeds for aftermarket. Bought a set last year at a show for $30.

I have another question what are warning signs if the reeds are getting bad?

put 410 or 420 in and then put a tempa flow on and it will run like a top all day and night. i always run boyseen reed petals, atleast i think there is a little difference anyway.

Call me if your interested in doing a 660 bigbore. This puppy rocks and is very reliable using pump fuel. Our kit includes performance trail porting and a performance head mod that flat out works
