I am concidering a tempa flow as so many at HCS recommend then. I am wondering if anyone has heard of them failing and causing melt down or any other problem? Do they get plugged up? 2002 xc 700 thanks. Bob

i never heard tell of one plugging up but you can burn it down if you fool with the altitude screw.
i have the same sled as you and got 19.5 miles per gallon last year with a tempa flow and jetted down 1 size running on extremly hard pack snow and 16.5 on regular trail riding conditions.
they deffinatly work.

they deffinettly work great had one on my pro x 700 sled runs the same all the time no matter what the temp. they make a filter for the air intake tube also so it dont suck snow in it. never had any probs with mine :celebrating:

I installed one (had it installed) on my 600 last summer. I am a constant "blipper" and i was saving between a dollar and $2 every time i gassed up. I love it and it runs awesome no matter what the temp!

The tempa-flow is a great product...I consistently got 160 miles per tank on my 04 xc 800, jetted down two sizes, always ran great. Highly recommended.

if they fail, they susposidly go to your baseline, full rich jetting

I think I need a new one, don't get as good mileage as you guys even for a 600.
