I am considering moving up in the world from my ZR 500 to a 900.
Currently I pay roughly $150 annually for thorough coverage, excluding collision which I just dropped. That rate is with my auto insurer (Erie).
What kind of increase should I expect if I go to a 900?
Thanks, John

If you have a sled riding training course certificate, it helps lower the rate, i paid $500 a year with full coverage, collision, theft etc, i hear i can get it cheaper and am gonna try. That is also i can drive it year around too, i could only have fire and theft i just now foundout, which will be cheaper yet!! i am gonna take collision off monday!! I havent foundout how much cheaper it will be though

Fire and theft is all any one runs here (85$ a year for a 500) collision is a waste unless you rack the sled in the first year, they drop in value to fast, couple years there not worth what you pay for collision and you will only get book value.

Just today I was quoted $335 for full coverage on a '05 ZR 900 and $98 for liability only. This was with a $500 deductable and with State Farm. My wife's '05 XC SP 600 was $268. Not that much differance.
