I was wondering what oil you guys are running. I have been running the Polaris synthetic, but wanted to switch to amzoil. But I have been hearing bad things about people who have switched

Most people I know are running Amsoil, have never heard of an oil related failure. Interested in what you may be able to share regarding what you have "heard"?

I know one person who switched and there motor blew up on the next ride. Could be a non-oil related matter to thou. And I have a friend who switched and his sled wont go over 80 mph now.

So tell him to switch back and see if it will go any faster.

I've been running amsoil in my 00 xc440 for 4 years never had a problem, My mod 800 I'm gona be runing Amsoil. I rum Amsoil Dominator In both sled Intercepter is good also. Dominator is more for racing, hard driven, high compresion, Intercepter Is good or better for someone how just trail rides, dicth bang. Dominator is a little more expensive. My dads a amsoil dealer. I also heard good things about Klotes.

Polaris she likes the juice

I've been running blue marble and I think ti's great. did 1500 miles with it last year....very little smoke and the power valves are a lot cleaner than with the Klotz I was running before.
xcbullet
Amsoil intercepter 3300 miles last winter in xc7.Turned it down about halfway threw, now at 56 to 1.

AMSOIL ALL THE WAY!! :augen41:
my polardog eats cats
Blue Marble.
my cat eats dogs
Amsoil all the way. Dominator is great at protecting the engine, tore a few motors a part and no wear, and the parts were coated with it.

if your capable of cleaning your valves regularly, you can run pretty much any of the cheaper oils out there without a problem,i use the cheap shell oil ,

My valves werent too bad when I cleaned them running polaris oil, but it could be better
nickels
Amsiol Interceptor!!! Much better the polaris ves.
White Lightning
I think I am going to try out AMSOIL Interceptor this winter to see if this will keep my powervalve clean. I have been using AMSOIL synthetic for the last few years and had pretty good luck with them. After 1k miles, my power valves needs to be cleaned so I want to see what the Interceptor oil can do. WL.
The Big Dog
Been running Polaris Synthetic Blue for 2 years. Haven't had any problems so fare it just seems the power valves need to be cleaned every 500 miles or so. Might try Legend ZX-2R.

I think after hearing everybodys results, I am going to switch this year to Blue marble or Amzoil.

All synth oil is good. If you have valves that are clogged you are running to much oil at your pump and it needs to be adjusted. You have to do a fuel/oil ratio test. If your running less than 50:1 you will have clogged valves no matter what the oil brand.

Amsoil dominator and I run it in both cars expedition and taurus. amsoil says you can run the 25,000 miles on their synthetic with a filter change at 12,500. I only go 10,000 to 12,000 miles and change. I have never had a problem.
