It should be pretty close, both sleds have similar hp, but i think the 500 might have just a little more. Just the fact that your sled is 10 years older puts you at a disadvantage because of usual wear and tear that will slow it down a little. With that being said if you sled is in decent mechanical condition (newer bearings, good running engine, etc..) it should come down to traction, whoever hooks up better will win.

Thanx alot man !!! but working over the summer i might make around $4000 so im prolly goin get a 1'1/2 track,clutch kit,pipes (AAEN),fly racing bars,C&A race skies,and maybe some add on's to maker look cool !!!!

I'd say the 583. Those RV motors were awesome. The 92 chassis is heavier but the motor is stronger.

lol oh yea there really heavy like my plus is a 1992 formula plus XTCE so thats the long track one and she is one big tank but goes good ....

aka it has no raves and 5-7 hp less then the 583 with rave

the only Plus with a 583 was the 92-93 Plus X

I would say the Plus if it was not the 139 XTC

Weight is a killer on those older Doo's, need alot more power to run with the newer smaller sleds.

but this year im puting a one up seat taking the back rack off,putting new skis might be piping it ,might even clutch it, but iunno it depends on the amount of money i make this yea....

Why wouldn't you just buy a newer sled??? Like a mxz 670 or 700 or something? Putting money into a sled like yours is like throwin it out the window...IMO

You would have more fun with a lighter, more powerful sled...and a lot less headaches too!!

lol man thats a good idea :div20: im goin buy a track because it needs one and i'lll ride it this year then next year sell it...because i have to buy a truck by the winter so i won't be buying a new sled this year but thanx for the imput :div20: i guess im goni have to ride her out this year but come next year i'll have a mxzx that i always wanted !!!!

If your only going to drive it one more year, save that money your going to spend modding and put it towards the new sled. :div20:

Thanx for the imput to buddy, im goin but a track then the rest might save up for a truck, or might buy a mxzx race chassis but i have no clue but i'll tell you when october come's around :div20:
