my manual is pretty lame about explaining some of the adjustments.
all it says is you have this e.v. setting with range of such and such.
there's an adjustment for exposure value on my new digital camera.
is that like a shutter speed setting or like a appature adjustment?
it has a range of 2.0 to -2.0, it also has an auto setting which i leave it on.
sometimes the pictures come out good and bright and sometimes not.
also it doesn't seem to stop the motion very good.
i have played with the setting a little, but can't figure out what it's suposta do?
thanks

It's like apature adj. base line is at 0 that adjustment is over and under. +/- 2. If your camera has a mode called bracketing use it when your taking photos you will want to print later. It will take 3 shots. 1st is the one your camera "thinks " it should be based on the internal computer. 2nd is x# of F-stops over and the 3rd is x# of F-stops under. You can't miss then. Also, if you using Photoshop or something like it I like to under expose rather then over expose. You can always add more light to your image later but if you make it too bright your image is wrecked right from the start and you can't recover what was over exposed to start with. All them pixels turn white and you can't recover. Doug
