Sorry no pics yet. I was cleaning out the engine bay, seeing that there is no engine in it, and I figured I would try the 'steering post mod'. This involves moving the top streeing post mount to in front of the frame hoop from behind it. Last year i installed a 2" riser and really liked the new ergos, but when standing it felt like my hands were too close to my thighs. I know of some others who have moved the steering post and they feel it greatly improves stand up riding.

The bars end up higher and quite a bit forward of the previous position. When sitting the bars feel straight out from my shoulders and clearance on full lock turns feels real good, especially to the right. The seat felt low with the riser installed, so it feels even lower now, but I think I'll leave it like this and give a good try on the snow next winter. :div20:

Did the same on my 97 last week, but didn't check out the steering stops till it was all re-assembled, now I need to de-assemble it and install some different
type of stop. At 6', it is just a bit low for me without a riser. Its supposed to be my daughters sled, so I'll probably leave it for now, as she's only 4'12"
