I am going to go and look at a ski-boose and a 72 TNT 400 f/A on Thursday. I really don't know much about the sled yet. The seller says it is "rough", but does come with an extra engine. I don't think it runs as is.

Anything I should be looking for on these, and what is the value range of these sleds???

I will try and get some pictures and more info at that time.

TIA

We had a TNT way back, It ate pistons, only had it one year. Not sure if it was the same model,Think it was the 440, long time ago. Now the SKI-BOOSE, they are great, not much to go wrong, I widened mine to track behind the wider sleds, hardly know it's behind you, kids love it. I know where I can get another and I might pick it up too.

Well, I looked at the sled today.

The good
Very nice tunnel, still has original chrome skis with protective boots, and decent hood, engines have good compression (comes with a second motor), exhaust, secondary clutch, steering, suspension is all there.

The bad
No primary clutch, no seat, cracked fuel tank, missing ignition coils and probably some other "trinket" parts as the engine is not on the chassis.

The track is so so, but I would probably replace that regardless.

Most of the chrome would need to be redone, due to minor surface rust. Basically it would need and get a full resto.

He wants $800.00 for it. I offered considerable less, but he didn't bite. I feel I can get it for $600-$650.00.

Is it worth it????

TIA

I think I would let it sit, 800 plus what it will cost for the parts will soon add up. Better off to take that money look for one thats pretty well ready to go.
