This won't happen but what do you think about my mxz 600 vs my dad's mxz 800? They both have clutch kits, but my dad's is jetted and has picks. I know I would probably lose, but my dad asked me to set a new topic up asking this. Mine launches the same as his. He would probably pull 2-3 sleds on me closer to top end. What do you guys think?

Of course he would take you, he has 200 more ccs and jetting along with picks for traction. Ify our is clutched to take off as quick as his even though his has picks you must have no top end at all.

Do you have any studs? If not i really doubt you launch equally.

No mine doesn't have any picks. My sled does launch just as hard though. I am probably going to get 96 or 144 of them though.

keep in mind studs only help on ice or really hard packed snow.

I understand that. I just would like to have them for that so I can have better traction on the snow or ice.

You will also loose some top end speed, more rotating mass on the track, Go with as few studs as possible, that still gets enough traction .

Studs help on Ice, and any hardpack, not just medium hardpack. most of the time, if your dragging on a lake picks will help, but if it snowed the previous night, like a foot of powder. Then they will hinder, in most any other lake racign condition you will either spin through to ice and then teh guy with picks will take off, or you will grab hardpack adn te guy with picks will take off.

I'd say it's pretty obivous who would win.
