The one in the middle was bleeder, he needed a little work to get the hook out of him :augen41:those Lake Erie fish have a different body and color compared to the one's up north.

Yeah a couple of them don't look too healthy weight-wise...are they hungry? Biting on all sorts of stuff or? I don't know what the food supply is like out there but one would think there'd be lots in Lake Erie, being a big lake and all. Could just be the camera playing tricks on me.

There kind of cigar shaped the smallest one is 17.5" and there eyes are not as walleyed like they are up north, I think thats due to the water being a lighter color(Lake Erie water is a light green as opposed to the tannin stained water up north in WI, MN, ON, and MB.

Nice looking fish. How do you fish them on lake Erie?? Here in MN we use jigs, lindy rigs or rapalas. We tip the jigs and lindy rigs with leeches, crawlers or minnows.

For comparison here are some Walleyes we pulled out of a lake in SD Memorial Weekend

We were fishing about 12 miles out on mud flats 26-32' deep, in a drift casting out worm harness's and Erie Dearies weighted a 1/2oz to 3/4oz depending on the drift speed, then a 10 to 20 count depending on the depth we were marking fish at, then a retrieve back to the boat.
Here's a pic of an Erie Dearie and a link to there web site, which has pics and tactics for fishing Erie.

BTW worms were the only bait we used.

I wonder how well that thing would work on some of our Walleye lakes in MN or in Canada?? I may have to pick a few up and try it out :div20:
They have a very good web site!

Try em out, did you go too the fishing stories page, guys have been using them in Alaska, Ontario, and even right here on Lake Michigian for Coho, I'm going to be up at Lake of the Woods in Sept. I think I'll try them for Walleye and casting for Pike and Muskie.
