Before I go and make a silly decision I am curious if those that own Hawks ride them on the trails occasionally.I've seen a conversion kit someone makes to allow two ski's sidebyside and supposedly this does make them more trail friendly but how is that new single"precision"look alike doing by itself?also are studs on the outside edges gonna be helpful/possible.I'm seriously debating trading off the sled for a Hawk this fall as I mainly ride off trail/woods,but would need to trail it some from time to time. Can I go 40-50 on the trails safely?

Anyone got any new info on the 06's?That outlaw is seriously tempting my pocketbook. Wow1.gif :beerchug:

I work with AD Boivin and we trail ride the Hawks all the time and we have an absolute blast! The older versions of the Hawks were alot more difficult to control, especially in the trails, but the 2005 and most certainly the upcoming 2006 are awesome trail sleds! Look out for these trail features on the 2006 sport trail edition: rear suspension is height-adjustable (2-inches), the ski adaptor on the bottom of the front forks gives a 6-inch incline, instead of two, which makes the Hawk alot easier to control in tight turns and on hard-packed trail conditions, etc. If you order the Outlaw, you can ask your dealer to update the rear suspension making it height adjustable (not difficult to do). We have a snow tracker device on the bottom of the twin-axis ski that is a safety feature for icy conditions and hard packed snow. The twin-axis allows the rider to boondock and lay the Hawk down while the ski remains almost flat on the ground.. you can also add our stud kit to give yourself even more traction. All this being said, with the most recent version of the Hawk (or an older with these added features), you won't go wrong with a Hawk for the trails!! Give us a call if you need more info.

*Attached you will see the Sport Trail edition in action!

Thanks for the info Hawk Girl, also for the pictures...any chance you have a stand alone shot or action shot of the Outlaw. On the Snowhawk site I'm not able to save the pictures but would really like a nice desktop background image of the outlaw. You can email me the pictures if you want or post them here....jvkv@nnex.net----thanks for your time.

My buddy Got a 05 600 HO hawk last winter and he put over 500 trail miles on it. It was awesome. I must have put 60 of them on myself. The only bad thing is all of the people asking a question every time you stop for gas or at a stop sign for a break. Once you get the hang of it like we did, then there awesome.

A Very good friend of ours (Neil) is Snow hawk dealer here in White Lake Mi. Here is his shop number if you’re in our area.
