Skeptics scuttle claim Chinese discovered Cape Breton:
Did anyone else read the article about the Chinese being the first to hit land in C.B? Supposabley before Christopher Columbus ever set sail, they landed in the 1300's I think they said.
What they found was a ston wall 3 or 5 KM's long, the road leading to it is standard chinese width, and there was other facts in the article leading them to believe that it was the chinese that wade the wall.
There is A LOT of controversy on this topic though.

Yeah, I read about it and heard about it on the local radio. I was kinda suprised to hear something like that. But what happened when they came here? Did they explore it or just keep moving on? They sure didn't make any settlements of any kind.

They found stones that are placed in a way that looks like foundations of houses.
One good comment i read was why would the chinese set sail towards North America and not explore Europe? Because there is no chinese settlement discovered yet in Europe, wouldn't they stop somewhere's in eastern Europe?
Anyways the article claimed that this site is the most important arciological (is that what they call it?) site right now in the world! The guy that discovered the land where it all is, is not saying anything about where it is until it gets protected status from the government.

I read it in the Truro Daily News. If you go to their website you can go to archieves and get the article, but they charge money for back issues.
I'll try and find the date.

The guy who discovered this must be a genious, imagine rocks used to form the foundation of a house. Half of the old homes in Guysborough county have rock foundations. Heck less than 200 meters from our house there is an old foundation of a house, and there is a little road too about the size the chinese might use. Guess they must have built that too in 1850's.
My point is the guy seems to be full of cr*p. Everyone used to build homes on stone foundations and all the roads were narrow, horses didn't need an 8 foot right of way to ride on. I think the guy wants his 15 minutes of fame and a few million bucks.
