Saw it on their site, nothing in the mail yet.

I wonder why they don't include 2003. I remember hearing about a few 2003 with this problem.

Got mine in mail last week. What exactly is the bracing of the neck that they do?? Sholdn't I just be a getting a new tank?

Everyone should get a new tank. I had mine done late last fall when I noticed it was seperating. I had to wait a while for a new tank, they said it was on backorder so I didn't get it until the second week in December. Too close for my comfort though. :div20:

I got mine over a week ago. However; I'm not supprised I was one of the first to receive the recall notice as I was one a few people that talked directly to the CPSC (consumers product safety commission). I'm getting sick and tired of Polaris's lazy approach to consumers. I had two broken filler necks that at a minimum ruined a day or two of riding. My time is to valuable to me, not to mention one occasion was with my daughters sled and she didn't catch it right away and ended up with gasoline soaked bibs. Polaris has no idea the liability they were flirting with. People that smoke or any other ignition source could have sent a consumer up in flames! Within one week of having a direct conversation with an individual at the CPSC the recal was issued. Polaris was trying to divert the issue saying consumers were storing their sleds improperly - what BS! Just like their over heating problems in 02 were due to consumers driving their sleds improperly! Polaris better wake up because I won't get off their case until they start paying attention to their costumers again...

Get them tanks fixed boys!

i was at dealer march 2005 taking delivery of new 2005 SS for family(nice dad). next to me was a 2004 pro x 2 800. owner said the bulkhead cracked and dealer(under warrenty) welded. owner suggested this is a enginerring defect in the pro x chassis and that all will eventually break? that may be a stretch? this is not a racer just a younger guy (40?) that may hits trails hard. i believe that is design of a pro x right? anyone else hear of this? should we be inspecting bulkhead occasionally? i did not ask where it cracked. it may have been obvious or possibly he unknowingly ran with it till it got worse
