I just pulled out my speedo bearing to replace it and go what I was told was a direct replacement from NTN. The bearing came with a collar on it. The collar will not fit over the hex shaft. The one in the sled did not have a collar on it. Anyone know why the stock bearing has hard sealed sides and the replacement is rubber or plastic sealed?
thanks for any input.

they gave you the wrong bearing thats off an older model sled. stick with the zinc seals, i switched to a rubber seal once and when you grease them, also impossible unless you remove inside seal. you'll push the other seal right off the back. the zinc seals are rigid and stay in place better in this application.
