Hey everyone, I don't know if this is the best place to put this type of question, but here goes.

I am replacing the handlebars on my '04 RMK with a riser block and a set of pro taper handlebars. I already have a set of Powermadd hand guards with the extensions but there were times this year when I needed to turn on my handwarmers for a little while.

When I put on the new bars, what type of handwarmer should I install? I think I have heard of two types. One is sort of a "plug" style that you put in the end of your bars, and the other is like a tape with a heating element built into it. I haven't taken the old bars appart yet, so I really don't know if I can use the stock handwarmers (but I doubt it).

Anyone know which is better? (ie. heats you hands fastest)

I also want to put the 45 degree hooks back in the ends of the bars. I assume I need to get a set of grips as well. Any suggestions on the type so that the transition from handgrip to hook is smooth like the stock grips. :help:

Maybe its just as well if I bought the Polaris handwarmers and grips.......... dunno.gif

ok i did the same type deal, take off your old heater elements be carefull not to cut them or u will need to get new ones then put a layer of electrical tape down on the grip area on the bar to reflect the heat since th bars are aluminum and then put your old element and new grips on and your set any other questions ask
