Looking for another open face reel. Been a quantum and shimano man for a long time. Looking to spend around 80 or so. Will be used for everything from Crappie to walleye and steelhead.. Basically a Michigan reel. Interested in BPS brands,pinnacle,okuma, NO DIAWAS, shimano, quantum,anything else you might have seen. Gotta gander mountain and Bass pro shops within a few minutes. Supposed to go out with a builder on Saturday morning , on Lake Orion. My last quantum broke right at the reel seat from a King on the PM. and yesterday my other older white quantum took a shit too.

Pinnacle Zester is about $80.00 to $90.00, how come no more Shimano Plummer?

no, I still love Shimano...but haven't been keeping an eye on other brands of reels......... Iam looking for someone with great expiriences with other brands for me to try. Its kinda hard to switch when you have good luck with the same brand. Mostly curious tho.... well off I go to BPS now Thanks Vince for the info will be checking it out.

I now have 3 different Finnor reels in my stable. Excellent all arounfd use and durable.

Thnaks for the input.....I didn't see any finnor's at BPS. I think I still like the shimano sahara or the Stradic or symetre. I also didn't se too many of the fluegers. But they were a good reel from what I seen.

The symetre is OK. I gave my dad my symetre cause I never use it. The Finnors I bought were in the last 2 years at BPS in Gurnee Illinois. All my buddies use them as well.
