Not much activity in here this summer. My summer project is almost complete but I have a few questions. I built a 2.25" 151 out of my firecat. I am putting 19-40 gears in it and wondering if I can use the stock chain???? Also I plan to put TPI valves in and wondering how many I need, 2,3??? Thanks for the help.

Almost forgot, I got a set of C&A pro skis, the first version, for free for my Firecat and I am wondering what I need for mounts. All that is there is a bolt that mounts right to the plastic on the ski. No metal mount.

You will need the C&A rubber mounts for A.C. ,if you change the gearing you will need a new chain.I have to dig out my book and I can give you the new chain pitch-Lee Also the C&A skis don't have a saddle,I hope the skis came with the metal insert two per ski-The bolt goes thru these so you don't have metal on plastic, they fit on the side.
Ok the 19/40 takes a 70-pitch chain A.C. part #1602-041 I think I have a 70 pitch chain if you want it.I'll give you a better deal than buying new,it is just like new.I've changes wt's and gear's on about three sled's so I have extra Helix's,Wt's,Springs, gear's&chain's

Thanks for the help Lee. I can I tell what the pitch of my chain is anyway, it is stock. What is pitch and how is it determined??? All that came with the skis and bolts. Inserts? all I can tell is that they are washers that go between the plastic and spindle.

I have two TPIs on mine one on each side and it worked fine this winter out west when my nose cone was pretty much plugged up solid. I might try to add a third one this winter in the center though because the airbox has some sort of baffles in it so the outsides are completely connected. One more thing I would suggest is going to a 51degree flat helix you'll get more back tension on the belt so it doesn't slip as much and overheat the belt.

I noticed you did this on a 03 and was just wondering if you switched to 9 tooth drivers or did you manage to get th track in with 10 tooths.

Thanks for the info Red. I will plan to get the 51 flat. With the EFI how much do you have to change the flow, and do they come with some sort of guidelines???? I bought the entire 9 tooth assembly to get the track to fit in. I don't know if the speedo will work yet as I have not tested it yet. That big track is going to be tight, but I look at it everyday in the garage and I can't wait to do some climbing.

My EFI is left along I haven't done anything to it and its runs just fine. I've been up to a lil over 11,000ft in Cooke City. The speedometer will work fine if your installing the whole 9tooth driver assembly from what i've figured out. I think the magnet is placed differently to compensate for the smaller drivers. Mine is off cause i put 9tooth drivers on my stock shaft.
