What are you guys running for setups with this track lenght lug height? I am ordering kit this week to put it on. Anything I should be aware of and how do you like? Looking to go out west twice a year or so but yet still ride in midwest. Thanks.

im running a 136x1.5" track and love it. I turned the front spring on my shock in my rear suspension3 turns tighter and it handles good. Also for gearing I have 23/43 gears, clutching I am running for trails 66/44/.46 helix, almond blue primary, blue teams secondary and 64g weights.

How is the 1.5" track holding up. Any ripped off lugs or noticable wear? Also how does the track work on hard pack and in minimal snow conditions(if you know). Im looking to replace the 1 3/8 track on mine and either looking into a 1.25" ripsaw or a 1.5". Thanks

Had great luck with my 136"x 1 1/4" ripsaw no damage other then broken studs (not pulled out ) . the deeper the lugs the more snow you need, Here in the north east I dont think I would run more then a 1.25" because of the snow conditions.... this past year was about 1000 miles of " this sucx I wished there wasnt so much mud or ice"..... I put about 2700 miles on the 136 prox 700 this season! It takes little mods to get the handle back to the nimble 121 " but the bumps are much better with the long track.... would do it to my next sled also!

What track are you running and did you have to notch it? I am thinking of going with Trackusa kit with 1.5 skidoo track. Fully clipped

Correct, it is not notched but you can notch it yourself and I have heard it is not hard at all.

Give bruce a call, I think that track is made from SOFT rubber, If it is it may not be a great choice if your riding hard pack trails!

thats the track i bought, the overproduction skidoo track. Its a fairly hard compound and i put on a decent amount of hardpack trail miles with no problems. No lugs torn or missing, cooling was fine, lube on the hifax was good, hooks up great, handles great, powder is great, and i also did not notch it. it does not rub much at all, only once in awhile when you hit the hard bumps but its nothing to worry about. i say go for it, you will love it

ProXman, did you get the tracksusa kit as well? How do you like it? Any cooling issues? How hard to install and any tricks I should be aware of? I have had skid out but never took out drive shaft to put in new track, how hard is that? Thanks.

I used the Tracks USA rail extensions on my Gen II with a '03 Pro-x skid and they are top quality and fit. I am using a Polaris 136 x 1 lightning track with 120 Woodys 1.175" studs with metal backers. I ride in Pa, NY and Vt and the track works really good with minimum top end loss. I notched the track with a pair of Channel lock end type nippers in about 30 min. You will also need a tunnel extension and an RMK type bumper (longer on sides). I used the Tracks USA extensions for the 8" wheels also. If you want some pics email me.
