I know it's spring time (ATV's), but 5 weeks and it's still not been looked at!! I have a pesky chaincase leak, front idler wheels cracked, and oil cap leaks. Should be 2, 3 days tops to fix. Dealer has been telling me we'll get to it next week, yeah right. I might be wrong, but my ($8000 plus dollars) is just as green as the ATV buyer. Plus the fact it's been outside for that period of time is killing me, I usually keep in garage for storage. Called Polaris, no help. What should I do? I know , it's been this long what's another week. Maybe pick it up and bring to another dealer around the fall? Just had to vent my frustration. Love sleds, hate everything else (dealer, repairs etc.).

I would go pickup and tell him you are going to another dealer and you will not buy anything from him again and you will tell your friends about poor service as well. I don't care if it is ATV season, 3 weeks is rediculous for that, they should be able to fix that in an hour or two.

Got tired of the same excuses and not given a date when it would be looked at. Picked it up yesterday, I think to his surprise. Told him I would be taking the sled and my business else where.
I've asked several times, got the same lame response. "Duh, it's ATV season, they are priority". He did say I could bring it back in the fall, wow what an offer. I said no thanks. As the saying goes, if you want it done and right, do it yourself.
That's ok dealer from Troy, NY I will fit the bill for the warranty parts and do the work you should have done myself.
Stay away from the dealer in Troy, NY.

It's not that he needs his sled. He just wants all the work done now. This time span is unacceptable. Why wait till fall, get it done now before everyones sled is in there in the fall. I would not want my sled leaking all over my garage either.

Pick it up and take it some where else.I took my sled to where i bought it still winter time, cause my stock pipe cracked. It was there for a week and a half.I went there one day and there it sat outside covered in about 8 inches of snow not even moved. So i just went in and said you guys havent even looked at it so i'm taking it some where else. They were not to happy but neither was i.Got to love dealers and their excuses. :banghead:

yah thats bullshit get a new dealer. your money or warranty time pays him just the same as the atv guys so why not just get it done.

The time probably wouldn't bother me if I was told up front that it would be a while. No matter what the sitting outside for that long is totally unacceptable.

Thanks guys for the support, xcrrrrrr is right. If I knew the approx. date he would get to it, I would have dropped it off then. He told me at least 2 wks, fine, but to not call and tell me it would be ALOT longer is b.s. After I cleaned the bird crap off my new cover, the cat paw prints off the seat (back of cover fell off sled, nice that he is looking out for the care of customers sleds), and washed the mud out of the suspension, the Pro-x still looks great.
Glad I picked it up, our forecast is calling for rain all week!! Thanks again, later...

I am just west of Albany in Glenville, NY. Got any thoughts with reagrds to the chaincase leak? I checked it tonite, appears it's coming from the drain hole in belly pan. I put a new plug/o-ring last year, probably the cover gasket. Also what's the easiest way to change the front inner idler wheels, mine are cracking (looks like a weathered tire) and small chunk is missing from the side od wheel. Let me know, thanks.
