I think Trap-shooting season should be welll under-way for most everybody. How are you guys doing this year? I am struggling this year for some reason. Last year was my 2nd year shooting and it went really well, I was high gun on our team with a 23 average, and hit two 25's. This year I have had a 17, 19, 20,20,20,23,19,21, I don't know whats going on this year but I gotta get it back.
How are you guys doing?
What is your favorite style (or game or whatever you want to call it)? For league we just shoot 25 at 16 yards with 5 guys, 70% handicapp.
In fall league we shoot 50, the first 25 at 16 yards, and then the second 25 at last weeks average. So usually around 20 yards or so.
Is spring we have a hunt n Cover league, thats alot of fun too.

I have not shot in a few years, but your problem sounds all too familiar.
I started out ok and got better (not 23 avg). Then after 3 or 4 years all of the sudden, can't hit much over 17 or 18. In short, there are more ways to miss a shot than to make it. Some times just not concentrating, then too much, and forgeting about the things that you just did naturally. The big problem I had was just lifting my head just a little, and only every once in a while, without realizing it, until on one miss, I noticed a big gap between my center and end beads, problem solved right? Untill I found that all of the sudden I was pulling the trigger at a certain time and not reacting to being on target or not. Trying to be to "quick" maybe.
Good Luck, and just get back to basics and you'll get it back real soon. Worry about it and you may as well quit.
