I received this paper in the mail yesterday that said that there are going to be drags up in Eden, NY at the Legion and it's not just for snowmobiles. I will scan the flyer and post it tomorrow. Forgot to bring it with me. Dates are June 26, July something and Sept. 18 I think. Past one was May 15. Anyone else hear of this? dunno.gif :cn:

Yes, they've done this now for a few years.
I think they race motorcycles/dirtbikes? and possibly ATV's along w/ the sleds.

We should get some people together and head down, if not participate. Guess I should figure out how to jet and setup my sled for grass drags... And maybe invest in an external cooling system.

We were thinking about participating. Would like to bring the dirt bike and a sled or two. $10 to compete or $5 admission. I see that it's good for all types, bikes, quads, trikes, mods, street bikes. Forgot to bring the flyer again. Oops. Maybe I can sell one of the four sleds for sale there!

As for jetting, you would jet "up" I think. Bring the needles up in the carbs. EFI you don't need to do anything. It's been a long time. Look in your manual, to see what the specs are or ask the local dealers. Other people that I have known to grass drag bring a dump tank with them, in which they hook it to the sled after running and it flushes everything. I don't know the exact concept on that either. Find an old fan cooled sled, those usually run good for short distances in the warm weather. I could be wrong about the jetting so make sure you consult your manual and a dealer.

You need to jet down, go to smaller # on jet. Also if you play with needles you have to lower the needles, you have to move clip up on needle. If you raise the needle this will add more fuel, and in hot weather you need to take away fuel to make them run right. Just me 2 cents

 I got it backwards! Dealer called it down for colder up for warmer. He must have meant the clip up and needle down. Glad I had help on my jetting.

Any exact dates on these races yet? Do they have a website that I can go to for more info? Would love to get together with a few other HCSer's and give a hand if they do participate :drunk: . :beerchug:

Is anyone planning on going to any of these races to race or watch? Would love to make all of them myself, but have a mud race on the 26th. Maybe see some HCSer's up there for the other dates.
