Here are a couple interesting ones from my digital camera. I have a ton of good ones from my 35mm trail cam, but I will have to scan those all in when I have time.

My digital Camera is a CuddeBack, made by Non Typical Inc. That one is pretty new, both to me and to production. It has had a few glitches, but they have been great about getting it updated and taking care of any trouble for free. Its nice having a digital camera becaue it is so much cheaper and easier to see the pictures.

My 35mm is a Photoscout made by Highlander sports. I don't know if they still make them or not, but there is not a doubt in my mind that If I was going to buy another 35mm Trail cam, it would be another PhotoScout. I can't believe how great this camera has treated me. It is in a really tough sealed case, VERY easy to use, always works great, good detection and range, and I have taken nearly 1000 pictures with it and it still works good. ALot of people I know had trouble with other brands, but me and a buddy both have Photoscouts and never had any trouble (until a bear ate his)

Here are a few more off of my 35mm

That really sucks! I would be pissed! I have been fortunate enough to never have one stolen. I always have mine on Private land, and not many people are around to snatch them.

Nice pictures firecatfever. The deer in the last picture that you posted does look pretty bad. It almost looks as if his right rear leg got cut of or broken.

His snout looks more like a dogs snout also.

You can see the leg, its not cut off, I think he is just stepping and its hidden behind the other leg.

I hope its not CWD :augen41:

The Cuddeback uses a Compact Flash card. You can get up to 25 pictures on the camera without a card. Its nice being able to take 60 pictures without running out of film.

The 2005 model is 3 megapixel, but the 204 model, like mine is only 1.3 mp. Make sure if you buy one you get the 2005 model right away so you have the latest technology. The 2004 models needed various updates.

It runs off of 4 D sized batteries, and battery life really varies. I don't know why but sometimes the batteries last a long time, and sometimes they die right away. I need to get some rechargeable batteries to save money. As far as the cold weather goes, I never had this camera out in less than 10 degrees. My old camera had problems when it got below 10 degrees, I figured it was just the batteries freezing. I think you can get special batteries for that.

If you are looking to buy one, I think Ebay is your best bet. Here is a link:

I have never seen one like that, but it appears he custom builds his own camera's so I doubt there are too many around.
Someone on this site gave me the link to a website about building your own camera's a while back. They say that that is the absolute best way to get a good quality camera, buy all the parts to make it fit your needs and build it yourself. ALot of guys on that site were showing off their camera's, they looked pretty nice. I forgot what the site was though. trau14.gif

That looks like a great camera. It is expensive but probobly worth that. You get a nice Sony camera that you can remove and use elsewhere. 4.1 MegaPixel would be great, and you can see the pictures right in the field. Looks like quality parts and construction. I don't think you could go wrong with that one, but I guess its hard to say for sure.

If I had more time I would research it and build my own, but I am involved in way too much stuff and don't have the time to get into that too right now.

Good Luck! :div20:

Dude, I have not seen a CWD deer in person but in pics and that to me looks like a deer with CWD, I would call the DNR and make them aware of it. Heck even if it is not atleast they could put it out of its misery.

Later,
Pat

That was over a year ago allready. I didn't want to run to the Warden and show him because next thing I know we will be a part of the CWD Zone and have to kill every deer in sight. I get alot of pictures with my camera's and thats the only one I have ever seen like that. If I would see more I would bring it up to the warden, but not for this one case. I don't want my area to get ruined!
