I am looking at getting a prox 600 for next season.

I have a line on an 02 with 600 miles for $4000
and an 03 with 1200 miles for $4200.

Are theses good prices? They both look to be in good shape from the pics.

I'd say the 02 was a little high but the 03 sounds fair.

I agree that the 03 is a good price and IMO a better tuned suspension.

Since your in MN wait until Haydays and you will have your pick of ProX's for way under $4000, last year I saw a bunch of 03 600's for $3500.

I've heard that Haydays is just full of guys trying to dump off the sleds they've beaten on and rolled back the odometer on...

I've never been there so I don't know first hand.

Is this true?

Also, did the 02 to 03 suspension change that much?

My 02 ZL 600 is a little to plush of a ride and I'm looking something more aggressive.

Id say awesome deals....excellent mileage for the years

haydays is awesome, its where me and my dad bring our sleds when we sell them, you can tell what sleds were beat on, and which are taken care of. Look at the guys selling the sleds, and whatnot and you will see if they are a good buy. Last year I bought my 2003 Pro x 700 with 450 miles for $4500, and my dad just bought an 04 RMK Verticle Escape 700 with 1200 miles for $4000. You will find deals, just look around

the 2002 had VERY stiff shocks and springs! it wasnt really well suited for trail use.... The 2003 the soften the springs and shock valveing up so, It still may need some cheap shock and spring modes depening on your weight and how hard you ride.... out of the box the 2003 is trailable , riden hard or cruiser! both have the same motor, the 03 has a few updates to the tunnel / bulkhead (stronger)..... I own a 2003 prox 700 , I love it!

xc-mark is correct about the suspension.

Even though both machines share the same engine, the 2003 is quicker from 0-90, but the 2002 has much better top-end. I don't know if the gearing is different or if the TEAM clutch makes a difference, but the 2003 is quicker and the 2002 is faster.

Did the 2002 come with the Phantom brake?
